Leila moved from Gloucestershire to East Sussex in 2010, and hopes to stay here!
She grew up by the sea, in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, where she spent many hours on the beach, in all weathers, and began to paint at an early age. This has had a major impact on her work, and she specialises in seascapes.
After a Business Studies degree, and 12 years as an accountant, she made time again for her love of painting, attending Hereford College of Art & Design, and courses at The St Ives School of Painting.
Her preferred medium is acrylic, often including sand, muslin and other mixed media, and her paintings are enjoyed in private collections in the UK and internationally.
