Christine Jenkinson
BACK
Christine studied art in London gaining a BA (Hons)
degree in 1982 and after working as a model maker for over 20 years in the
advertising industry, returned to painting concentrating on her original
love of animals, and the English landscape.
Based on a farm in rural East Sussex, drawing constant inspiration from
her surroundings, she paints from a studio in her home. Working in both
oils and acrylics the atmospheric landscapes, flower studies and realistic
animal portraits have a strong, colourful and reflective quality that
are contemporary in style and composition, but retain the essence of a traditional
painting.
Christine specialises in portraits of dogs that capture the unique character
of the subject.
